NSW: Bob Carr pays tribute to Vietnam veterans
New South Wales Premier BOB CARR has paid tribute to the state's Vietnam veterans ata reception in Sydney held in their honour.
The annual event acknowledges the efforts of the more than 59,000 Australians who weresent to fight in the conflict, and particularly the 500 who died.
Held at Government House, the function was attended by 240 veterans from around New South Wales.
Mr CARR says the reception was part of the government's efforts to help ensure theVietnam War does not become the forgotten war.
