NSW: Petrol price monitoring a win for families: Iemma

New South Wales Premier MORRIS IEMMA says the federal government's commitment to give
the consumer watchdog permanent monitoring power over petrol prices is a win for families.

The ACCC's report on petrol pricing has been handed down today .. finding no obvious
evidence of price fixing in the unleaded petrol market.

But it's raised serious concerns about its operation.

Mr IEMMA says the petrol market requires constant monitoring.

The premier says the NSW government has long called on the federal government to adopt
these monitoring powers.
